Grain Free Sugar Free Cookie Dough Recipe

What can I say? It’s cookie dough. I mean…a grain free, sugar free cookie dough recipe.

Sounds appealing, right? Well, in case you haven’t noticed, I am a big fan of creating super delicious recipes that have a lot less of the guilt factor. This recipe idea came from an older recipe I had found that uses garbanzo beans to make some super yummy chocolate chip cookies. I decided I needed to come up with an egg free, low sugar, easy to make cookie dough because frankly, at the time, I didn’t want to wait for the oven to bake cookies. I mean, who’s got that kind of time? So, with no further adieu, here’s there recipe.

Ingredients

1 can of garbanzo beans
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4-1/2 cup maple syrup (I started with 1/2 cup and the recipe could easily manage with less)
1 cup mini semi sweet chocolate chips

Stir it up

  1. As always, I highly recommend using a NutriBullet or other high quality blender or food processor.
  2. Drain garbanzo beans
  3. Add beans, peanut butter and maple syrup to blender
  4. After fully blended, add chocolate chips
  5. Stir in chocolate chips with a spoon
  6. Refrigerate for 1 hour to thicken mixture
